Patrice Tiedemann: soprano
Soprano Patrice Tiedemann recently made her Boston Symphony Hall debut with the Boston Pops for their Holiday concerts This is her initial appearance with The Shakespeare Concerts. In 2005 she first sang with Boston Lyric Opera in the East Coast premiere of The Little Prince, and in The Consul with Opera Boston. A graduate of the Indiana University Master's Degree Program in Voice, she continued her education as an apprentice artist with the Indianapolis Opera, making her professional debut as Emilia in Otello, and at Central City Opera, where she performed the role of Cio-Cio San in the apprentice performance of Madama Butterfly and Mrs. Gleaton in Susannah.


Kellie Van Horn: mezzo-soprano
Kellie Van Horn, mezzo-soprano,was praised by critics for her Miami debut as Dido, the Palm Beach Post declaring her "a compelling heroine." Earlier this season Ms Van Horn sang Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream with Des Moines Metro Opera. This is her third season with The Shakespeare Concerts, and she can be heard on the Albany Records release Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer's Day. Kellie has also been a favorite of Sarasota Opera singing Prince Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus, Charlotte in Werther, and Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana. At Opera Theatre of St. Louis she portrayed Anne Morrow Lindbergh in the world premiere of Cary John Franklin's Loss of Eden. The Dallas Morning News stated: "Van Horn made Lindbergh's lines sound like music, and she effectively suggested her character's conflicted dignity."


Alan Schneider: tenor
Our perennial tenor, Alan Schneider, having served with The Shakespeare Concerts for six years, is a familiar face and voice in his native New England, having performed with The North Shore Music Theatre, Opera New England, Boston Bel Canto Opera and Commonwealth Opera. He has most often appeared with the Boston Lyric Opera, including roles in La Traviata, Lucie de Lammermoor, Rigoletto, La Rondine, Don Carlos, and Salome. Recent engagements outside Massachusetts include Sarasota Opera, OperaDelaware, and Florida Grand Opera. An alumnus of the University of Massachusetts, he received his Master's Degree and Opera Institute diploma from Boston University where he appeared as Flute in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream as well as many other productions. Mr Schneider is the featured tenor on Albany Records' releases of What A Piece Of Work Is Man, and Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer's Day.


Paul Soper: baritone
This season baritone Paul Soper makes his first appearance with The Shakespeare Concerts. In 1998 he debuted with Boston Lyric Opera, recently performing as the Imperial Commissioner in their 2006 production of Madame Butterfly. Paul has sung many roles with the Glimmerglass, Longwood, and Cambridge Chamber Opera companies, as well as Houston Grand Opera, Raylynmor Opera, and the New England Conservatory Opera Theater (where he received his Master of Music degree.) A graduate of the Boston University Opera Institute, where he performed in (amongst others) Midsummer Night's Dream. Paul won first place in the concerto competiton there; as well as receiving a fellowship and the C.D. Jackson Memorial Award at the Tanglewood Music Center.
